Project Overview
Barclays’ Canary Wharf headquarters is a major commercial office building where mechanical systems must perform reliably within a live, continuously occupied environment. VIP supported the project by supplying key valve, control and support solutions for building services, with a focus on quality, consistency and long-term maintainability in a high-profile, high-demand setting.
Our Approach
Given the scale and operational sensitivity of the building, VIP focused on delivering proven, dependable solutions backed by experienced technical support. Drawing on over 40 years in the industry, our team worked closely with the project stakeholders to ensure the correct selection of valves and bespoke hook-up assemblies, helping reduce installation risk and simplify commissioning. Clear communication and responsive customer care were central to our approach, with VIP’s team staying engaged throughout to answer queries, provide guidance and support programme demands. All supplied products were aligned with recognised quality standards, including ISO 9001 and WRAS approvals where applicable.
Execution
VIP supplied a coordinated package of mechanical components, including our own branded cast iron non return valves, butterfly valves and strainers, providing robust isolation and system protection throughout the installation. For fan coil applications, VIP Warrior bespoke hook-up sets incorporating Belimo pressure independent control valves were delivered as a consistent, repeatable solution, supporting effective flow control across the building. VIP also supplied rooftop support systems to accommodate plant and services safely at roof level. Throughout delivery, our team remained proactive, ensuring timely supply and practical support as works progressed.
The Outcome
The finished installation delivered a reliable, well-controlled system suited to a busy commercial headquarters. Standardised hook-up sets and high-quality valves supported smoother commissioning and long-term performance, while clear communication helped the project run without unnecessary disruption. The project demonstrated VIP’s ability to support complex office developments with trusted products, deep technical knowledge and a level of service that consistently goes beyond what is typically expected on large-scale commercial projects.
