Old Trafford
Location: Old Trafford, Manchester
Sector: Residential Property
Project Overview
No.1 Old Trafford was a landmark residential development comprising two high rise towers of fifteen and eighteen storeys, delivering one, two and three bed apartments around a shared podium garden. The scale and height of the scheme demanded reliable pressure control and high quality plumbing components to support safe and consistent water distribution throughout the building.
Our Approach
VIP worked closely with the building services team to understand the demands of a multi storey residential environment and the importance of long term reliability. Drawing on strong product and industry knowledge, our team specified suitable PRV arrangements for the risers, alongside press fit valves and copper for the plantroom. Clear communication was maintained throughout, with VIP going the extra mile to ensure queries were answered quickly and deliveries aligned with the programme. All products supplied met relevant WRAS requirements, supported by our ISO9001 approved processes.
Execution
The project was delivered through a coordinated supply of PRV setups for each riser, ensuring balanced pressure across all floors. Press fit valves and copper were supplied for the plantroom to support a clean, efficient installation. VIP’s experienced staff remained on hand to assist with technical detail and sequencing, helping the contractor keep momentum on a complex, high profile site. Our familiarity with large residential schemes helped avoid delays and ensured the right products were on site when needed.
The Outcome
The completed installation supported a dependable plumbing system across both towers, meeting performance expectations for a premium residential address. The project highlighted VIP’s ability to support large scale developments with knowledgeable service, quality approved products and attentive customer care. With over forty years in the industry, VIP once again demonstrated the value of experience and commitment on a demanding urban scheme.
