St Paul’s Cathedral
Location: London
Project Overview
St Paul’s Cathedral is one of London’s most recognisable and historically significant landmarks. In 2016, a programme of plant room upgrades and ongoing maintenance was undertaken to support the building’s essential services. VIP was privileged to supply a range of high-quality valves to support this sensitive and important work within a live, heritage environment.
Our Approach
Given the age and significance of the building, product reliability and compliance were critical. VIP worked closely with the project team to specify suitable WRAS approved gate, globe and check valves that would meet performance requirements while aligning with strict standards expected on a heritage site. Drawing on over 40 years of industry experience, our team provided clear technical guidance and responsive communication throughout, ensuring the correct products were selected first time and delivered in line with programme needs.
Execution
VIP supplied a full range of WRAS approved valves as part of the plant room upgrade and maintenance works. Care was taken to ensure all products met the necessary approvals and quality expectations, with deliveries carefully coordinated to support work within a busy and operational building. Our proactive approach and attention to detail helped ensure the installation process ran smoothly, with minimal disruption and complete confidence in product performance.
The Outcome
The plant room upgrade was successfully supported with compliant, reliable valve solutions suited to a landmark building of national importance. The project demonstrated VIP’s ability to work on prestigious and technically sensitive sites, delivering trusted products alongside knowledgeable support and attentive customer care. It remains a project we look back on with genuine pride.
