Project Overview
Thermae Bath Spa is Britain’s only natural thermal spa, located in the historic city of Bath and combining heritage architecture with modern spa facilities. The project required dependable valve solutions to support complex thermal water systems, with a strong focus on reliability, control and compliance within a high-profile leisure environment.
Our Approach
VIP worked closely with the appointed contractor from an early stage, using detailed product and application knowledge to help specify valve solutions suited to natural thermal water conditions. Consideration was given to corrosion resistance, ease of operation and long-term performance across both manual and actuated systems. Clear, consistent communication allowed technical questions to be addressed quickly, helping the contractor make informed decisions and maintain progress on site, supported by VIP’s ISO9001 quality processes.
Execution
VIP supplied a range of manual and actuated butterfly valves, along with stainless steel and plastic ball valves, selected to meet the demands of both plant room and operational areas. Deliveries were carefully coordinated with the installation programme, and ongoing technical support was provided throughout the works. Where clarification or adjustments were needed, VIP responded promptly, ensuring the contractor had confidence in both the products and the support behind them.
The Outcome
The completed installation delivered a robust and reliable valve solution, supporting the spa’s specialist thermal systems and day-to-day operation.
