Project Overview
Viadux is a striking 40 storey residential tower rising above Castlefield Locks in the heart of Manchester. Designed to connect seamlessly with the historic arches and Manchester Central, the development demanded reliable, space-efficient building services solutions to support high-density city living and mixed-use commercial areas at ground level.
Our Approach
Working closely with our customer, VIP supplied bespoke tenant valve assemblies and water meter carriers, fully tested and pre-assembled to suit the project’s specific layout and programme. With extensive product and industry knowledge across high-rise residential developments, our team ensured each assembly met performance requirements while simplifying on-site installation. We prioritised clear communication throughout, responding quickly to design queries and coordinating deliveries to align with programme milestones, helping to keep works moving smoothly on a fast-paced city centre build.
Execution
All tenant valve assemblies and water meter carriers were built and pressure tested prior to dispatch, providing confidence in quality and compliance. By delivering pre-assembled, ready-to-install units, we reduced time on site and minimised the risk of installation errors within confined riser and service cupboard spaces. Products were supplied in line with relevant standards, including WRAS approved components where required, supporting the wider water management strategy of the building.
The Outcome
Viadux now stands as a prominent addition to Manchester’s skyline, with robust and efficient water management infrastructure supporting each apartment.
