The Watts / Socla flanged RPZ valve assembly with isolation valves, strainer, and tundish is designed to provide advanced backflow prevention and contamination protection for potable water systems. Engineered to protect drinking water networks against Fluid Category 4 risks in accordance with EN1717 and EN12729 standards, the valve prevents contamination caused by back pressure or back siphonage, helping to maintain the integrity and safety of water supplies.
Manufactured with a durable epoxy coated cast iron body, the assembly incorporates two independent check valves with an intermediate reduced pressure zone and integrated relief valve. In the event of backflow or internal contamination, the relief valve automatically discharges to atmosphere via the tundish, providing reliable protection between the potable water supply and downstream systems.
The complete assembly includes upstream and downstream isolation valves together with a strainer, simplifying installation and maintenance while helping to protect the internal components from debris. Modular internal sub-assemblies and removable check valve components allow for easier servicing, reduced downtime, and simplified maintenance procedures.
