Oasis Academy: Temple Quarter

Supporting A Major Bristol Education Project With Coordinated Mechanical Services Supply

Location: Bristol, UK

Products Supplied:
Valves, stainless steel press-fit pipework, PICV assemblies, expansion vessels, water meters and filter pots

Project Overview

Oasis Academy Temple Quarter is a major new secondary school and sixth form campus being developed at Silverthorne Lane in Bristol. Designed to accommodate around 1,600 pupils, the project combines a new four-storey teaching building with the refurbishment of the Grade II listed Boiler Shop. Construction is ongoing, with completion scheduled for 2027.

Our Approach

VIP is providing the project with the kind of hands-on support that is often difficult to get from larger suppliers. As requirements develop, our team stays close to the detail, responds quickly and coordinates supply needs across multiple mechanical services packages. Products are selected against detailed heating and water schematics, helping bring together a joined-up solution rather than a series of isolated components. Bespoke VIP Warrior PICV assemblies are supplied fully assembled and pressure tested, reducing site assembly and improving consistency. Strong product knowledge, responsive communication, ISO 9001 quality management and WRAS approved options support the project as installation progresses.

Execution

VIP is supplying an extensive range of products including stainless steel press-fit pipework and fittings, butterfly, gate and ball valves, pressure reducing valves, check valves, solenoid valves, strainers, thermostatic mixing valves, thermal balancing valves, water meters, expansion vessels and stainless steel Micro Filter Pots. The package also includes VIP Warrior valve assemblies incorporating strainers, metering stations and Danfoss AB-QM PICVs. These assemblies are supplied fully assembled and pressure tested, helping simplify installation on site while maintaining consistency across the academy’s heating and water systems.

The Outcome

As construction continues towards completion in 2027, VIP is providing ongoing support across several mechanical services packages at Oasis Academy Temple Quarter. The breadth of supply, from stainless steel pipework and WRAS approved water controls to tested PICV assemblies and filtration equipment, demonstrates VIP’s ability to support complex education projects with dependable products, technical knowledge and attentive customer care.
