Trinity Levine Building
Location: Oxford
Sector: Education
Project Overview
The Levine Building was a major new development within Trinity College’s historic Oxford campus, officially opened by his royal highness the King in May 2022. The scheme delivered modern residential, teaching and learning facilities within a high-quality, durable and environmentally sustainable building. A key requirement was protecting long-term system performance while meeting the strict quality, compliance and reliability standards expected on a landmark education project.
Our Approach
Working closely with our customer, VIP focused on solutions that would safeguard system efficiency from day one and reduce future maintenance risks. Drawing on strong product and industry knowledge, our team advised on the use of side-stream filtration to support water quality and compliance across the building’s services systems. Particular attention was given to selecting products that aligned with BSRIA guidance, supported sustainability goals and offered long-term value, backed by clear communication and responsive technical support throughout.
Execution
VIP supplied a BSP Filter Pot as part of the water quality strategy for the project, alongside a range of plantroom valves including safety valves, ball valves and associated components. The Filter Pot was selected for its ability to combine magnetic and non-magnetic filtration, air and dirt separation and efficient dosing within a single side-stream unit. This approach helped protect equipment, reduce the risk of sludge and debris build-up and support consistent system performance. All products supplied met relevant WRAS and industry standards and were delivered to suit the installation programme.
The Outcome
The completed Levine Building benefits from reliable, protected building services systems designed for long-term efficiency and reduced maintenance intervention. The inclusion of side-stream filtration supported water quality, compliance and asset protection, aligning with the project’s sustainability and performance objectives. The project demonstrated VIP’s ability to add value through informed product selection, practical advice and a level of service that supports complex education developments from installation through to operation.
